[Okay, he didn't see that coming. Byakuya goes wide-eyed as he looks it after carefully.]

...Congratulations. You've managed to catch me by surprise. It seems that you did do quite well... and you receive extra points for being prepared.

[He taps a finger against his glasses while looking over those third and fourth semesters.]

But it's not exactly what I'd call a flawless record. Oh, how the mighty fall?

"The mighty's" father died that semester. And then "the mighty" broke things off with her abusive asshole of a fiancé the next.

[ She smiles, but she's kicking the back of his seat lightly and she can easily kick his head. This is not a topic for him to be smug about. ]

Now "the mighty's" trying to bring her grades back up, but it's hard to do something as simple as insert an IV when you can't see the color blue.

[The smugness does quickly fade as she explains. It's not often that Byakuya genuinely feels like a heel, but this is one time. Ignoring the kicks at the back of his seat, he holds out his phone towards her.]

[ Oh come on, can't he be smug when she needs her to be? So she can get mad and take out some of her pent-up aggression?


You let her down, Fatty McDonalds. Now she has to pretend to be cheerful a bit longer. ]

And how do you plan to appease "the mighty"?

[Too bad. Although some of that sympathy disappears when she goes on.]

Appeasing? What exactly does that mean?

[ Muuuuuuuuuch better. She's more used to this being how they talk to each other. ]

[He may feel bad for her, but he won't excuse her behavior with it either.

Byakuya adjusts his glasses before he turns his attention back to the notes.]

You're one to talk about insults. But I don't mind that idea. I'll gladly carry it out.

[ Just one light kick to the back for good measure. ]

[He just gives an irritated grunt in response but doesn't let her have any more than that. Back to focusing on the notes and candy!!]
