[Byakuya sprints right after her! He moves much more quickly than one might expect, putting the danger far behind them. And he comes to a stop some meters behind Mio, taking a moment to catch his breath.]

[ Her voice is so flat that she can't even help but roll her eyes, just a little bit. ]

You make it sound like something worse is going to come up.

I'm only being realistic. We can't afford to let our guards down if there's more danger lying in wait around here.

[ Well, it wasn't as if Mio was an idiot. She does keep her light on as she rests her other hand on her waist. ]

I suppose you're right on that, at least. It's not as if I was going to easily just act as if nothing could jump at us any second.
